Revolution will come before August 31: Qadri

ISLAMABAD, (SANA): Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that the ‘Revolution Day’ will come forth before August 31. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at federal level and Mian Shahbaz Sharif at provincial level will not remain in government after 31st August. He said according to his sources FIA team was failed to secure any proofs of money laundering against him. Qadri said media should secure the copy of the investigations of the FIA into allegations of money laundering against him.

Qadri, who was flanked by PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chudhary Pervaiz Elahi and Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen leaders, was addressing a press conference in Lahore.

The PAT chief said the revolution is essential to get freedom from the dynastic politics.

Qadri said that he wanted to free the country’s constitution and laws by bringing the ‘revolution’ in the country. He further said collusion between the ruling elite and their businesses should end.

The rulers have made the laws and the state institutions their slaves, he claimed.

The Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) will commemorate not only the lives lost in violent clashes in Lahore’s Model Town but also those of soldiers killed in the ongoing operation Zarb-i-Azb, party chief Tahirul Qadri said on Wednesday.

“I want to especially say that August 10 is for Model Town martyrs. But more than that, it will be about Pakistan Army’s martyrs killed in Zarb-i-Azb,” Qadri said.

“We have guaranteed that if people coming to attend the prayers and the ‘Day of Martyrs’ are not harassed or attacked by government, then it will be as peaceful as the January 2013 rally,” said the PAT chief.

Qadri warned the Punjab government against harassing its supporters coming to the rally.

“The Quran and the law allows (PAT supporters) to do what they can to protect themselves,” he said. “The government has been playing the role of murderers.

He further questioned the current democratic system, saying: “People are saying don’t derail democracy, but what is the definition of democracy? Casting a paper [vote] is democracy? No one – even anyone from the N-league – can say that the votes were cast in a fair manner.” He said that the participants of youm-e-shuhada would remain peaceful if government will not take any instigative step against the participants of youm-e-shuhada on 10t August.

Meanwhile, Hussain reiterated his party support for the ‘revolution’ to be brought about by Dr Tahirul Qadri. He said Pakistan was established in the result of the revolution and now it has become essential to bring revolution to secure independence.

Meanwhile Parvez Elhai said that the participants of revolution march would stay in Islamabad till the toppling of current government.
