Multan corps sends 10 truckloads of relief goods for IDPs

MULTAN, (SANA): Ten trucks loaded with relief items were sent to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency on Monday.

The 80 tonnes of relief items comprised of Rashan, Water bottles, Rooh Afza (drinks), dates, milk, and many other daily use items, said a release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The relief goods would be sufficient to meet needs of 10-thousand people. This was the second consignment of relief goods, said ISPR.

Multan corps set up donation camps at Eidgah Chowk, Lalik Jan Shaheed Park, and Chaman Zar Askari Lake, wherein the local people donated a lot for IDPs.

Commandar Corps Logistics Brig Liaqat Ali said that it was our duty to help IDPs. He urged the philanthropists to extend maximum donations for IDPs of North Waziristan.

He said that people of NWA left their homes and their sacrifices would be remembered. The IDPs sacrificed to save the future of Pakistanis, he added.
