Khan seeks mid-term polls; we tend to change system: Qadri

LAHORE, (SANA): Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that the final date for a revolution in the country will be announced after the August 10 Day of Martyrs. He said the Sharif brothers should be ready to same cases, which they are making against him (Qadri), after the revolution of PAT before the 31st August. He said that the rule of Sharif brothers would be ended prior to the end of August and names of Sharif brothers would be placed on ECL after the revolution if they will not flee from country prior to the revolution. He said Sharif brothers could not bear hardships, adding that Sharif brothers had fled country after seeking pardon from Parvez Musharraf. He said Nawaz had hided himself in washroom on the occasion of Musharraf’s coup. He said Nawaz was also kicked on back on the occasion of military coup. He said there will be no accountability of Nawaz by any general but he will have to face masses accountability after the revolution.

The statement was made during his meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) leaders, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and
Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslameen chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they emphasized on the implementation of the resolution of an all parties conference (APC) convened by Dr Tahirul Qadri on June 30, following the Model Town tragedy.

The PAT chief said that the program of Day of Martyrs on August 10 will be peaceful and if the Government tried to suppress PAT workers by any illegal step, then it will be similar to inviting thousands of masses to ‘Jati Umra’ for staging a protest there.

“Authorities are pressurizing transporters for not transporting our workers to Lahore, Licences of bus stops and drivers are also being cancelled as part of crackdown which Punjab government has launched to bar our workers,” Qadri said.

Qadri warned the rulers saying ‘oppress the people to an extent, which you can also tolerate’. He also asked the police officials to abide by the constitution, not to obey Sharif brothers. Qadri claimed that the current rulers will not last till August 31.

Moreover, he said, ‘the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has the agenda of mid-term elections, while we tend to change the system of the country’.

“The provincial government is using its dirty tactics despite our assurance that our protest will remain peaceful,” he said.

He said FIR of the Model Town incident had not been registered. “There is no state institution where the concerns of masses are addressed. Hence there is need of revolution,” Qadri said.

PAT chief said that after getting free from this procession they would decide a date for the ‘Inqilab’ march in consultation with their partners.

PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat present at this occasion criticized the hostile attitude of the rulers.

Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslameen chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said that if the government tries to obliterate the passage of the Inqilab march then the government would be responsible for the circumstances itself, adding that the struggle would continue until the desired results are achieved.
