ISLAMABAD (SANA): Pakistan is a safe and secure country and it is open to all foreign investors who intend to invest in Pakistan.

The Federal Minister for Investment, Senator Waqar Ahmad Khan, reiterated the government’s firm resolve to protect and facilitate all the investors who have invested in Pakistan and those who intend to do so.

The Minister welcomed the pledge made by Sheikh Nehyan Bin Mubarak Al- Nehyan, who has vowed to bring massive investment of billions of rupees to Pakistan. The Minister, here in a press statement, told that Pakistan and UAE enjoy friendly relations and share mutual interests.

The Senator informed that UAE has already successfully invested in various sectors in Pakistan especially in the telecom, real estate and infrastructure sector. UAE is the 3rd largest investor in Pakistan, only after the USA and UK.

Earlier, the Education Minister of UAE, Sheikh Nehyan Bin Mubarak Al Nehyan had stated that UAE would make fresh investments of billions of rupees in Pakistan. He told that after the successful experience of investment in telecom sector, now the UAE plans to invest in education and health sectors of Pakistan.

The UAE Minister reiterated the depth of Pak-UAE friendship and said that the people of both the countries share Islamic brother’s values and they are linked by mutual economic and trade relationship.

It is heartening to note that the UAE Minister showed solidarity with the people and government of Pakistan in the backdrop of terrorist activities and hoped that Pakistani Nation would soon come out of this crisis.

The Minister, while briefing the media representatives gathered from over fifty countries, claimed that the investors of UAE are absolutely safe in Pakistan. Therefore, he added, we are inviting our other friendly countries to invest in Pakistan without any fears.

Senator Waqar appreciated the resolve maintained by the UAE Minister and hoped that the UAE investors would enjoy a safe and secure stay in Pakistan. Moreover, the mutual investment between Pakistan and UAE would further strengthen the ties between the two brotherly Muslim countries.
