Govt not to allow any one to change country name : Awan

ISLAMABAD (SANA): Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan has said the government will not allow any body to change the name of the country.

He said that the government is taking practical steps to give the due rights of the Baloch people instead of making promises.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House Babar Awan said that the rights of Baloch people will be protected by the constitution of the country.

He said the joint session of the parliament will conduct comprehensive discussion on administrative and economic rights given in the Balochistan package during the joint session of parliament starting from 24th of this month.

He said the consensus package will be announced by the leadership of the PPP, adding that the Balochistan package has been prepared after the long discussions with all political parties.

He said the parliament will approve the said package with consensus, adding that the name of the country will remain Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
