Pak rules out Mullah Omer presence in Karachi

ISLAMABAD (SANA) : Spokesman for foreign office, Abdul Basit has ruled out presence of Mullah Omer in Karachi, saying that Taliban leadership is in Afghanistan.

According to private TV, Abdul Basit said that reports of presence of Mullah Omer in Karachi are based on speculations, adding they are baseless. Taliban and al Qaeda leadership is in Afghanistan, he added.

Actions of Pakistan against terrorism are being honoured across the world, spokesman said, adding that foreign hand is involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan.

Regarding Mumbai attacks, he stated that seven accused of Mumbai attacks are being prosecuted in Pakistan, therefore, India should wait for decisions of their cases.

He was of the view that Pakistan believes in dialogue for ending conflicts.
