America using 9/11 as a pretext to terrorize Muslims globally: Jamaat-e-Islami

DERA GHAZI KHAN (SANA): Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Syed Munawar Hassan has criticized the United States for its alleged aggression against Muslims by saying that America is using 9/11 as a pretext to terrorize Muslims globally.

Munawar Hassan expressed these views in his address during the Go America Go convention here on Sunday.

He told the gatherings that blood of Pakistanis was bleeding by each passing day and the government should initiate dialogue process with the Taliban to control the tide of spiraling of violence in the country.

“Pakistan should start talks with the Taliban because the Americans have initiated dialogue with the Taliban in Afghanistan,” Munawar Hassan remarked.

However, he went on to reiterate that peace in Pakistan and the region is impossible as long as the American and Nato troops are stayed in the region.

He vowed that his party would hold countrywide protest rallies against the barbarism of Indian troops on 14, 15 and 16 December.

He alleged that America viewed every Muslims as its enemy number one adding that the Muslims should rise up to resolve their own problems.

He noted that virtually the Americans had lost its ongoing war in Afghanistan but the Washington didn’t accept its humiliating defeat so far.

He went on to say that the US was losing war in Afghanistan and its troops morale had been down because its President Obama was reluctant to send more troops to the landlocked country.

He said Pakistan army is towing the US line and it has put Sufi Muhammad and his sons behind the bars because they violated the constitution of the country but Pakistani government is hesitant to bring Pervez Musharraf in the court of law although Musharraf violated the Pakistani constitution twice.

He asked the government to tell the people what is the logical end of the war against terrorism, adding that more than 5 million people have been displaced due to these military operations in Swat, Malakand and South Waziristan agency.
Naib Amir JI Sirajul Haq, JI Punjab Amir Dr Wasim Akhtar, JI Sindh Amir Asadullah Bhutto and others also addressed the “GO America Go” convention.
