PM says NRO buries once for all

PUL NAGER (SANA): Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani made public that NRO buried once for all after taking the allied parties on board regarding the controversial issue.

Prime Minister Syed Raza Gillani said that in the incumbent political situation 58/2B lost its efficacy, and termed difference of opinions made democracy colorful.

During his media chat here after inaugurating power plant, PM said that the government committed to resolve all the problems faced by the incumbent government with mutual consultation, and said the government also ready to resume talk with India in order to settle their long-standing issues.

The NRO was presented in the parliament due to Supreme Court’s decision, however; it was not presented for approval to honour parliament’s decision, PM maintained.

To a question regarding the ongoing military offensive against militants in South Waziristan, PM replied that the operation would be reached to its logical end before time, adding that the militants could not stay for long there if the military and the nation kept on fight with the same spirit.

Answering a question, Gillani said that the government wished to resume talk with India as the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh desired so.

Gillani disregard rumors linked to the meeting of Aitzaz with PM and President and said that he was party member and will remain in party, adding that no issue related to governor Punjab’ removal being discussed with him.

“Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is a democratic party and has its own point of view regarding many issues but I make it crystal clear that we are allied parties despite having differences” PM underlined.

The MQM expressed reservations upon NRO and it was addressed now that was the reason they settled the issue and would take on board the allied forces in future as well to make possible the smooth functioning of the government’s machineries, PM added.
