Majority of Pakistanis want education institutions to be opened

ISLAMABAD (SANA): Majority of Pakistani people want the educational institutions to keep functioning despite terror threats, says a survey.

According to a survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan to find out the public perceptions on the closure of the educational institutions following the suicide attacks in International ISLAMIC University, Islamabad that almost half of all Pakistanis (49%) want educational institutions to keep functioning despite security concerns.

However, they were of the view that there should be proper safety measures taken for the protection of students, while 37% support shutting down educational institutions whereas 14% gave no response.
