Pak-China ties beyond all limits: Gilani

ISLAMABAD (SANA): Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan greatly values its friendship with China.

He was speaking at a ceremony marking 60th anniversary celebrations of here on Monday. The Prime Minister said relations between Pakistan and China cover all spectrums including political, strategic, defence, cultural, economic and trade areas.

He said the two countries have worked steadfastly to build this ideal relationship during the last six decades.

He said first the relations were built by Pakistan during the time of Mao Tse Tung by the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in 1960 were flourishing day by day. He said our bilateral relationships are growing day by day from human rights to the trade and are based on trust, sagacity and diversity.

He said both the countries would continue their endeavors for peace and prosperity in the world and the region.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani congratulated the government and the people of China on behalf of the people of Pakistan on celebrating the 60th anniversary cultural week.

Chinese ambassador Lou Zhaohui said that China greatly values its deep rooted friendship with Pakistan. He said our friendship is all weather and in all dimensions of life.

He said China’s foreign exchange reserves are two Trillion dollars which speaks for itself that how much it is considering on trade with all countries.

Earlier Prime Minister inaugurated photographic exhibition of depicting various stages of development and cultural of China. He went round various sections of the art exhibitions. In his impression at the Visitors’ book the Prime Minister wrote that Pakistan greatly values its friendship with China.

Documentary film shown to the people reflected China’s science and technology development from agriculture to the space. It said now a young Chinese would get every thing he wants but thirty years earlier his parents could not. About high speed train it said that it has increased from 28.1 kilometers to 350 km.

Hong Kong and Macau have been returned to the mainland at the end of the century.

China is the oldest civilization having printed matters and has also the language of signs.

Two hundred and forty eight Confucius centers spreading wisdom of China have been opened throughout the world for the benefit of the mankind.

It also contained the story of Olympics from 1932 to 2008 Beijing Olympics. China’s peace initiatives were also projected through UN.

Pakistani cultural documentaries include folk dances from Chitral, Kalash, Mohenjodaro, Bhangra, Anarkali and Terry Rang Rang.

Chinese artists on this occasion performed Chinese Group Dance of love and affection which was appreciated by the Prime Minister, Chinese acrobats, folk tune and songs and magic show.

A large number of audiences witnessed these thrilling shows and showed great interest in the Chinese culture.
