ISLAMABAD (SANA): Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said the government is taking steps for ensuring transparency, accountability and rule of law at all levels.

The prime Minister stated this while talking with Federal Ministers Mr. Shahid Hussain Bhutto, Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti, Mr. Atta ur Rahman; Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi; Minister of State for Interior, Mr. Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi; Parliamentary Secretary for Cabinet and Establishment Divisions, Mrs. Farhat Khan and MNA, Nawab Liaquat Ali Khan called on him separately at the PM’s House on Friday.

He said the government is taking all political forces along on national issues so as to adopt a consensus approach for dealing with challenges faced by the country.  

The Prime Minister also said the government is taking steps for maintaining the prices of essential food items within the reach of common man and added that provincial governments have been directed to take strict action against hoarders and profiteers.

The Ministers briefed the Prime Minister about the working of their ministries. They also informed him about matters relating to the constituencies.
