India accuses Pak of killing of soldier, Pak denies

SRINAGAR (SANA): Indian forces claimed to have killing of their one solider by the firing of Pakistan troops during cross-border firing at Line of Control in the Poonch Sector, however, Pakistan denied the allegation.

According to Indian military that one of their soldiers was gun down on late Sunday night and the bullets were fired from across the LoC.

However, the Indian officials said that it was not clear whether the firing on Sunday night was from separatists trying to sneak into the Indian side of Kashmir or from Pakistani troops.

On the other hand Pakistan military officials strongly denied any violation from the Pakistani side, saying that it was a wrong allegation.

It is pertinent to mention that the ceasefire in Kashmir, launched in 2003, has largely held although there have been violations in recent months.
