NAUDERO (SANA): President Asif Ali Zardari said Pakistan’s armed forces have full support of the nation for rooting out the scourge of militancy from the country.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion of the 56th birthday of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the President said Pakistan Army is aware of the people’s and Parliament’s support to them and “it is this support that is leading to the success of our armed forces in the ongoing war against terrorism.”

He said: “we carried forward BB’s struggle and rid the country of dictatorship.”

“It was Benazir Bhutto’s message to the people to keep the battle on for elimination of poverty and illiteracy,” he said, adding, “I salute Shaheed Bhutto’s ideology.”

The President said his party succeeded in the general elections and emerged victorious despite all the conspiring tactics of the dictator. “Now we are taking all the friends along.”
