ISLAMABAD (SANA): Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, while appreciating the work of Javed Malik as Ambassador at Large directed him to further enhance the scope of activities to work for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis.
 
Javed Malik, who is also Chairman Pakistan International Council for promoting friendship between people of Pakistan and other countries by connecting people, communities and organizations in Pakistan with those around the world through people to people contact, briefed the Prime Minister on his work since his appointment as Ambassador at Large and presented him a detailed report.

He apprised the Prime Minister on various initiatives taken by him for institutionalization the process through Pakistan International Council for developing close relationship with Friends of Democratic Pakistan as well as building positive cultural relationships, closer business and commerce ties and promoting people to people contact.
 
The Ambassador at Large informed the Prime Minister on the activities of Pakistan International Council, which was established under the Patronage of the Prime Minister as a non-political wide ranging public diplomacy initiative aimed at promoting friendship and goodwill about Pakistan.
