ISLAMABAD (SANA): More 28 miscreants-terrorists were killed and 7 were apprehended in various areas of Swat during exchange of fire with security forces, while 5 soldiers and 2 civilians were injured.

Inter Services Public Relations, is a statement issued here on Friday, said that the
security forces continued with cordon and search operation and successfully cleared the stronghold of miscreants at Peochar village.

The Security Forces destroyed miscreants’ hideouts including 1 Madrasa and recovered 12 UN registered vehicles. 4 tunnels were discovered with ration items stolen from NGOs and huge cache of arms including 12.7 mm Guns, ISPR said. During clashes with miscreants 1 soldier got injured, ISPR added.

The security forces ration convoy moving to Mingora on Thursday was ambushed near Barri Kot, preceded by explosive of IEDs. During the encounter, four soldiers sacrificed their lives for stranded people of Mingora. Yet the convoy was taken to Mingora and rations were distributed to the affected people of Mingora and surrounding areas, ISPR said.

The cordon and search operation is continuing in Mingora. Security Forces successfully cleared Aman Kot and Technical Institute College on road Mingora-Kokarai. 5 Terrorist-miscreants have been apprehended, ISPR stated.

ISPR said that the security forces have successfully secured Bahrain. During clashes, 9 miscreants-terrorists have been killed including commander of Bahrian Khush Mir Khan, known as Abu Huzaifa.

ISPR further said that during exchange of fire with miscreants, 2 soldiers and 2 civilians got injured.

While in Dir, during search operation at Kalpani, the miscreants’ commanders Qadir of Kumbar –Noor Hameed of Kokoi Banda, Aftab of Dabuna, Yousef of Dabuna, Iftikhar of Sharlara and Bakht Buland of Shagai were killed while Hameed of Mera Shah and Miraj of Bar Maian of Apprehended with the help of locals of Kalpani, ISPR said.

The security forces defused 5 IEDs during search operation around Daggar. Fire exchange took place between miscreants hiding in a compound and own troops, resultantly 13 miscreants were killed, ISPR said.
