No compromise on country’s security, sovereignty: Gilani
ISLAMABAD (SANA): Responding to points raised by the Leader of the Opposition, the Prime Minister declared that there will never be any compromise on security and sovereignty of the country.
Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said he has received report of the parliamentary committee on National Security and after its discussion in the cabinet and input from the provincial Chief Ministers, a truly national security policy would be framed reflecting aspirations of the people.
He said parliamentary delegations to be sent abroad to mobilize international public opinion will have representatives from different political parties.
The Prime Minister said as the issue of Swat and Malakand was serious he can arrange an in-camera briefing of the parliamentary leaders by the security agencies, if so desired.
