PM rebuffs Obama’s view on Pak’s govt

Multan (SANA): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani turned down the US President Barack Hussain Obama’s statement in which he termed the government of Pakistan as fragile.

Talking to media, he said that the US President’s statement about the government of Pakistan was his personal opinion, as all the institutions were working in accordance with the country’s constitution and law.

Answering a question, he said that the involvement of foreign hands in the ongoing unrest in Karachi could not be declined.

Regarding the current operation in Swat, Pm Gilani said that the military could launch operation everywhere in the country when it was ordered to do so; that was the reason the ongoing operation was carried out after taking on board the Provincial government.

Gilani said that the results of the upcoming President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to US could be revealed after his visit; therefore, it was not the right time to comment on it, he added.
