Ufone administration blocked thousands of registered SIM
ISLAMABAD (SANA): The ignorance and non-professionalism of Ufone administration blocked thousands of registered Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) along with unregistered prepaid SIMs which created problems for the customers.
According to details, Hundreds of annoyed customers reached the offices of Ufone Customers Service and strongly protested over 18 to 20 hours blacked and maltreatment of the Ufone administration.
The Ufone administration amateurish approach affected billion rupees of trade.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has planned to introduce new system for the registration of SIMs in February. According to the new system, the mobile companies were advised to block unregistered SIMs.
Like other mobile companies, the Ufone has to follow the PTA instructions but its administration showed amateurishness and blocked thousands of registered post paid SIMs with unregistered SIMs which created numerous problems for the masses as the administration adopted the new system in hurry on Friday-Saturday night.
The Ufone administration non-professionalism affected billion rupees of trade and business activities of local and multinational companies in entire country.
Thousands of postpaid SIMs customers arrived in the Ufone Customer Service Office Islamabad and strongly protest over misbehavior of the officer Manager Nabi Bakhsh.
When the SANA contacted with Nabi Bakhsh, he said that the PTA administration responsible for the whole situation, adding that it was a result of technical mistake of the company.
The PTA Chairman Khurram Mehran said that they would ask to the Ufone administration to explain the situation, adding that it may be technical fault of the company.
He made it clear that the PTA introduced to only block unregistered SIMs and the registered SIMs might have blocked due to non-payment of the bills.
The NADRA Manager Naz Shoaib pointed out that the authority could confirm and it did not issue instructions.
