JI for fresh pools in country
ISLAMABAD (SANA): Terming the current government as failed Jamaat-e-Islami demanded for fresh elections in the country.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, JI Naib Amir Liquate Bloch said that the nation had gave the mandate but the government failed to resolve the people’s issues as neither the judiciary was restored nor the ongoing operation in FATA was halted so the fresh elections should be conducted again as mid-term elections are also part of the democracy.
He said that JI would actively participate in the long march on March 09; however, he demanded of all political parties to devise a strategy in this regard and also asked the lawyers’ leadership not to accept any pressure as the movement could not afford any mistake.
JI Naib Amir also demeaned of immediate withdrawal of the troops from the tribal areas saying the schools and other institutions were being set ablaze even in the presence of the army that is why there is no justification to keep deploy army in the areas.
He said that JI would hold protest demonstration against the ongoing operation before the parliament on January 23.
Taking, on the occasion, Shabab-e-Milli President Shahid Gilani demanded of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to sack Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sherry Rehman on issuing statement regarding Ajmal Kasab.
JI leaders Farid Paracha and Mian Aslam were also present on the occasion.
