ISLAMABAD (SANA): Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the establishment of National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCTA) is an evidence of the political will and commitment of the present government towards addressing the menace of terrorism and extremism.

The Prime Minister was talking to Tariq Pervaiz, Coordinator NCTA who called on him at the PM’s House on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister expressed the hope that NCTA as envisaged would be a focal body for coordination among other related departments and agencies of the government and would go a long way in evolving an effective strategy for confronting terrorism and extremism.

The Prime Minister expressed the confidence that under the able leadership of Tariq Pervaiz the NCTA will play to achieve the desired objectives.

The Coordinator thanked the Prime Minister for the confidence reposed on him.
