25 militants killed in Machni operation
PESHAWAR, Nov 24 (SANA): At least twenty five militants were killed and 40 others detained in ongoing military operation in Machni on Monday.
Meanwhile, security forces, after flushing the militants out of 21 villages, took control of the vacated areas in Machni. Media persons were taken to the area left by militants after an intensive operation.
Inspector General of Police (IG), Peshawar, Malik Naveed Khan gave a detailed briefing to the newsmen. Top security officials were also present on this occasion.
Malik Naveed said that 21 villages were cleared from the militants, while in four more villages; the writ of the government would be established soon. He called upon the people to extend their full cooperation in swilling out the extremists out of these areas.
The media person on the occasion were shown the arms and ammunition seized from militants’ possession during operation. The seized weapons include rocket launchers, mortar ammunition, and explosive material and suicide jackets.
